We are looking forward to our 2019 competitions for the Toronto area for the coming season!
This year we have planned 3 tournaments at 3 distinctively different courses; all are popular favourites. Dates and locations are as follow:

Season Opening Tournament  was held:
Monday, 8 July
Markland Wood Golf Club, Etobicoke
Located at 245 Markland Drive - just to the north of Bloor Street West at the boundary with Mississauga.

Visitors are pleasantly surprised to discover the quality, beauty and tranquility found hiding in the valleys bordering the Etobicoke Creek, a short drive from downtown Toronto. The course is a joy to walk as, similar to most traditional courses, each green leads to the next tee on almost every hole. Running north and south of Bloor Street, the layout features greens that are slightly elevated and fast, well-guarded and moderately sloped. Generous landing areas are balanced with holes that place a premium on accuracy.

Winner: Walter KRAUS, 21 hdcp, gross score of 89, for 41 points,

Not far from Mount Hope, Willow Valley Golf Course offers terrific views and challenging play for golfers at every skill level. Well-groomed fairways and greens keep the Course difficult yet friendly; it is an awe inspiring golf destination!

Season Finale Championship Tournament
and Annual General Meeting
was held:
Saturday 21 September
Osprey Valley Resorts Golf Club : The Hoot Course, Caledon, Ontario
Located at 18821 Main Street, is 5 km west of Hwy 10 and just north of Hwy 24 in Headwaters Country.

Our parkland style course is a scenic beauty and a delight to play. Naturally rolling fairways and generous landing areas make it our most player friendly of our courses, but don’t be fooled - with challenging approach shots to undulating greens, the course can be as imposing as it is picturesque.

Net Stableford category
Winner: Lynn HUYNH, 42 hdcp, gross score of 102, for 43 points,
Runner-up: Walter KRAUS, 21 hdcp, gross score of 92, for 42 points.

Gross Stableford category
Winner: Slav DYVONIAK, 5 hdcp, gross score of 76, for 32 points,
Runner-up: Bohdan KUSHNIR, 17 hdcp, gross score of 86, for 24 points.

The UGAC, established in 2001, is based on the model of longstanding Ukrainian golf associations in Australia and the United States, the latter Ukrainian Golf Association of Great Britain, the Ukrainian Golf Team in Germany, and the Golf Association of Ukraine and most recently the Ukrainian Golf Team of Czech Republic.

The UGAC has founding members in Toronto, Montreal, and Winnipeg and is looking to offer golfing opportunities to Ukrainians from across Canada. The UGAC has three main goals. Firstly, the association will organize competitive golfing among our membership staging an annual Canadian individual championship. Secondly, within this competitive context, will provide opportunities for social networking and camaraderie within the broad Ukrainian community in Canada. Thirdly, and most far reaching, is to participate in international golfing events with our parallel golf associations across the world.

Membership is open to Canadians of Ukrainian ancestry, those who have familial relations, and those who through their association with Ukrainians, may be appointed as "honourary Ukrainians". The minimum age to participate is 16. To register for membership, complete the Membership Registration Form as found on our web site at www.ugolf.ca or click here. Younger players are eligible for Junior membership.

Although our events are open to all, our members will enjoy lower cost of participation and value-added benefits. As in previous years, our individual Net Stableford and Gross Stableford Champion Golfers for 2019 will be determined by combining the player’s best score from the first 2 season tournaments with the Finale tournament score.

To register for any of these UGAC events, please contact:
